SOS-Hui Donate

Donating is a very simple process. You can either (1) donate online by clicking the Donate button or (2) donate by check.

Donate by Credit Card -- Click on the Donate button, which opens a PayPal webpage. Click the "Donate by Debit or Credit Card" button. You are prompted for your CC info, name, address, donation amount, etc.
NOTE: You can create a PayPal account when entering your information but it is NOT required to have your donation processed.
Donate using your existing PayPal account -- Click on the Donate button which opens a PayPal webpage. Click the "Donate with PayPal" button. You will be asked to login to your PayPal account from which you can specify your donation amount.
Donate by check -- Write a paper check payable to "Save Open Space Hui" and mail it to:

How will my donation be used?

Your donation goes towards the Hui's ongoing legal efforts, community advocacy, education and outreach to save existing zoned Open Space in Princeville. The Hui's officers and board members donate their time and there are no salaried employees.

Is my donation tax deductibe?

Your donation is NOT tax-deductible. SOS Hui is an IRS defined 501(c)(4) non-profit organization which unfortunately makes your generous donations NOT tax-deductible. The reason for this tax designation is so the Hui can be more flexible in advocating to government bodies and public policy makers without running afoul of IRS restrictions and helps reduce the cost of operating the Hui.

How much should I donate?

We certainly appreciate any donation, but graciously ask that you consider donating in amounts starting from $250. We are using PayPal to collect your donation which charges approximately 2.9% of each donation. If you would like to cover that charge so the Hui gets your full donation, you can select that option during the submittal process. A great big Mahalo for contributing to Saving Open Space Hui.
